Dear Home Secretary,
We are writing to you with the utmost urgency regarding the reported upcoming performance by Kanye West at Wireless Festival in Finsbury Park.
It is completely unacceptable for anyone with a track record of praising Adolf Hitler and declaring themselves a Nazi to be given a platform to perform, especially in a publiclyowned space like Finsbury Park. In fact, the Government needs to go further and ban Kanye West from entering the United Kingdom.
Under the Home Office's "conducive to the public good" criteria, you have the clear authority to exclude individuals whose presence in the UK may foster hatred. Kanye West’s recent history of spreading antisemitic tropes, promoting hateful ideologies, and glorifying historical figures of genocide falls squarely within the definition of "unacceptable behaviour" that justifies such an exclusion.
Allowing a high-profile individual who openly spreads bigotry to enter our country sends a damaging message of tolerance toward hate speech. Many residents in Haringey and across London will be rightfully horrified at the idea that a stage is being set for someone who promotes division, and that public land is being used for an event that causes such profound pain and fear to the Jewish community and other minority groups.
We believe that his presence in the UK poses a significant risk to community cohesion and public order. We therefore urge you to act decisively and bar Kanye West from being issued with a visa to enter the United Kingdom.
Antisemitism has no place in our United Kingdom, and Jewish people should always be able to feel safe here.
Yours sincerely,
ED Letter to Home Secretary_02_04_2026
